This 10 day Tanzania Tour combines two of this East African countries most famous and well known highlights, Zanzibar and the Serengeti National Park, making this the ultimate Serengeti safari and Zanzibar package. A ferry takes us from the port of Dar es Salaam to begin our 3 night Zanzibar tour and once we reach the island, we are transferred up north to the beaches of Nungwi, to relax on tropical white sand beaches and snorkel in aqua blue waters of the Indian Ocean. We will also have some time to explore the historic area of Stone Town, also known as Mji Mkongwe (Swahili for “old town”). A ferry ride back to Dar es Salaam sees us reunite with our truck and head to Bagamoyo, formerly a centre point of the East African slave trade. With our time at the coast ending, we turn inland and travel towards, the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, what makes Tanzania undoubtedly the safari capital of the world. Our overnight safari into the Serengeti is operated in specialised open 4×4 safari vehicles and we will begin by exploring the Ngorongoro crater floor, where herds of wildlife are known to congregate. The Ngorongoro Crater is a truly unique place with more to offer than simply wildlife viewing. It is a one in a lifetime opportunity to explore a region that was home to our earliest ancestors. Our camp during this safari excursion is surrounded by endless views and abundant wildlife, located in the Seronera region. A full day is dedicated to the Serengeti National Park and is the most photographed and filmed game reserves in Africa. With an incredibly dense population of wildlife and never-ending rolling plains, the Serengeti offers an authentic and idyllic wilderness safari. We enjoy our time game driving through the park, famous for the abundant wildlife that exists in the park. On our last days we cross the border into Kenya and make our way to Nairobi where our journey ends on arrival.

Boasting a rich history this busy port was once a landmark on both the Slave and Spice trade routes. This morning we will travel by road to the north of the island, Nungwi and our base for the next 2 nights. Today is a free day to enjoy some of the many attractions and activities on offer. Water sports are the order of the day and Nungwi offers fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and a variety of ocean safari options. Whatever it is you chose to do today, you will have ample opportunity to create some island memories. Rent a scooter and explore the many attractions on offer or simply relax on the beach and soak up the sun.
