Combining two of East Africa’s most popular highlights, the Serengeti National Park and Zanzibar makes the 10 day Ngorongoro Crate & Zanzibar trek one of the more popular safari packages and is sure to offer you spectacular African safari experience. Leaving Kenya’s capital Nairobi we travel to the border and cross into Tanzania. Undoubtedly the safari capital of the world, our tour includes an overnight safari excursion into the heart of the wildlife. Our overnight excursion is operated in specialised open 4×4 safari vehicles and we will begin by exploring the Ngorongoro crater floor, where herds of wildlife are known to congregate. The Ngorongoro Crater is a truly unique place with more to offer than simply wildlife viewing. It is a one in a lifetime opportunity to explore a region that was home to our earliest ancestors. Our camp during this safari excursion is surrounded by endless views and abundant wildlife, located in the Seronera region. A full day is dedicated to the Serengeti National Park and we enjoy our time game driving through the park, famous for the abundant wildlife that exists in the park. We then move from bush to beach early in the morning as we travel further south to the coastal town of Bagamoyo, formerly a centre point of the East African slave trade. Bagamoyo lies just north of the port of Dar es Salaam, from where we launch our 3 night Zanzibar package. A ferry takes us from Dar es Salaam and once we reach the island, we are transferred up north to the beaches of Nungwi, to relax on tropical white sand beaches and snorkel in aqua blue waters of the Indian Ocean. We will also have some time to explore the historic area of Stone Town, also known as Mji Mkongwe (Swahili for “old town”). A ferry back to Dar es Salaam marks the end of our Tanzania and Zanzibar safari package tour.
