We begin the Lesotho, Swaziland & Kruger journey with a visit to Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape. Addo is recognised as one of South Africa’s most popular national parks and game reserves. It is sanctuary to over 550 elephants in just 120 000 hectares. It is also the third largest national park in South Africa. We then cross the border into the highland country of Lesotho where you can try your hand at pony trekking. Moving back into South Africa, we visit the colourful, spicy city of Durban, St Lucia Wetland Park and Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve in KwaZulu Natal. Hluhulwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve is one of the last strongholds of the endangered Rhinoceros. The reserve has played a critical role in the preservation of these endangered animals, both Black and White Rhinoceros occur in the park. The landlocked kingdom of Swaziland is the next country we visit where we go on safari in Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. Ending our tour back in South Africa we have the opportunity to tick off the Big Five in Kruger National Park. We spend a full day on safari in the largest game reserve in South Africa. Our return journey to Johannesburg takes us via the scenic Panorama Route where we will visit God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels.
Enjoy a 20 day African adventure tour through South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho where you will enjoy a variety of adventures! Your adventure kicks off with a visit to Kruger National Park. Experience the thrill of being on safari, observing the big five as well as zebras, giraffe and rhinos in the largest game reserve in South Africa (Kruger is larger than some small countries in Europe). The sights of the Panorama route offer us a day of scenic delights. We will visit the highlights of Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and God’s Window.
Take a walk on the wild side and join us on one of our unique Kruger tours. On this 4 day tour you get the best of both worlds by spending some time in our custom designed adventure truck (excellent photo opportunities from a high vantage point) and the rest of the time in an open topped safari vehicle specifically designed for Kruger game viewing. Experience the thrill of being on safari, observing the big 5 as well as zebras, giraffe and rhinos and be inspired by an authentically African atmosphere in the largest game reserve in South Africa. Kruger is larger than some small countries in Europe and is just less than two million hectares of conservation area. There will be early morning game walks, evening game drives and before returning back to Johannesburg, we will visit the Panorama Route and view Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels – all part of the World Heritage Blyde River Canyon. The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world. As you follow the winding path, you have to stop and stare in wonder at the astonishing panoramic views below, as the sheer edges of the cliff drop down 800m into the river below.
This tour is the secret gem in our constellation of tours. Often underrated or not properly understood, this tour is such a wonderful surprise for all of our travellers.
