Hluhluwe/Imfolozi National Park

The plains of South Africa are renowned for their wildlife, with the Big 5 being the most popular. While many game parks offer fantastic opportunities to see these creatures in their natural state, few of them offer sightings as great as The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park.

Together these two intertwined reserves span over 96, 000 hectares and wildlife can be found on every part of this land. While Umfolozi is renowned for its vast wild bird population, Hluhluwe is famous for its Rhino conservation programme which has helped it achieve the reputation of having the world’s highest concentration of white rhinos.

Nomad Tours offers a day Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park Safari, the oldest game reserve in South Africa. During this tour to The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park you’ll be able to enjoy game driving and also enjoy a relaxing boat ride that is available to take visitors on guided trips twice a day through the park by a knowledgeable community member. The boat tour covers both the animals and birds within the park as well as the Zulu communities on the outskirts of the park.

To feel the true brush of golden African grass and to catch a glimpse or full view of the big 5 and their bush friends, indulge in a game drive in The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park.
