Amboseli National Park

The Amboseli National Park is among the most popular of all Kenyan safaris and is 392 square kilometres. It can be found at the core of an 8000 square kilometre ecosystem that reaches over the Kenya and Tanzania border. Here, guests can observe an abundance of African wildlife, including the big five and over 400 bird species; offering truly authentic Kenyan safaris and the opportunity to soak up the African atmosphere.

The Amboseli National Park is made up of low-lying plains and protects two of the main swamps of its larger ecosystem. The vegetation is parched and sparse due to a long dry season; however this makes wildlife viewing incredibly easy for Kenyan safaris. The park is famous as an elephant viewing destination, as guests can get close to the elephants and see them clearly near the swamps and on the plains. The park also offers beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro – a truly inspiring sight when observed with wildlife in the forefront. A visit to the park will give you the opportunity to meet members of the Masai Tribe and visit one of their villages.

Explore the beautiful Amboseli National Park with Nomad Tours. Departing from Nairobi, we’ll drive south to this beautiful park (where the guide will brief you about safety and wildlife viewing on entering) and take you on a relaxing safari through its rolling plains. As the best times to view the animals is at dawn and dusk, our tour will take you on an early morning game drive the next day before embarking on the next leg of our tour into Tanzania. This tour is known as the Treasures of Tanzania; however we couldn’t let you miss an adventure and the magnificent sights of the Amboseli, one of Africa’s most popular national parks.
