A visit to Al Noor Orphanage Centre

Easter is a time of year when we get together with our families, go away for the long weekend and enjoy good food, great company and all the love and happiness that goes with it. However, there are millions of children who aren’t as lucky, but one of the many benefits of working for Nomad Tours is being able to give back, so on our last working day before the long Easter weekend we decided to add some Easter excitement into the lives of the children of Al Noor Orphanage in Woodstock, Cape Town.

We arrived at Al-Noor Orphanage Centre and the children greeted us excitedly as they spotted the vehicle. Their eyes truly lit up when Wilson Chifiki, our local sales representative, handed out bunny ears and Easter eggs, teasing he would eat them all. They will also be surprised with some 20 colouring books and packs of crayons that we left with their caregivers to give to them during class to stimulate their creativity.

Al-Noor Orphanage is a registered non-profit organization, and therefore it doesn’t receive any subsidy from the government. We feel it’s important to make the time to share some joy with these children and ensure they have every opportunity to better themselves and their lives. This orphanage relies solely on good-hearted individuals and from companies for support, if you feel you would like to contribute in any way please find their details below.
