As 2012 draws to a close, we’d like to take a little time to say thank you to all for your incredible support this year and for choosing Nomad as your preferred travel partner! This holiday season, may you be blessed with friends, family and wonderful travel memories of your time in Africa with Nomad! Whether you’re building snowmen on the slopes or sandcastles down at the beach, be sure to celebrate all that we have to be thankful for and lookout for some epic new adventures in 2013. We look forward to having you here with us.

At Nomad, we have a lot of successes to be thankful for and this year we celebrated this in style on a day out in the Helderberg area. We started off the day being picked up in our trusty Nomad trucks and whisked away to be treated to a full breakfast buffet at the Devonvale Golf Estate where plans were finalised for outings for each person for the rest of the day.

From Devonvale, we split into two teams – generally boys vs girls as some had selected to go on a game drive at Villiera Wine Estate and others had opted for a beauty treatment at Lanzerac Spa – I say generally, as when the girls arrived at Lanzerac, we had a very happy Chris with us who had joined us so that he could get his feet eaten by Dr Fish.

After our pampering and game driving, we all met back at Blaauwklippen Winery for some wine tasting and high tea to end off the day, and thanks to the sweltering heat of the day, we opted for impromptu games of 30 Seconds on the beautifully manicured lawns in the shady expansive garden.

Well organised by Christina, our Product and Reservations Manager, we were also presented with a lovely gift of wine and olives before the day ended.

Sadly, this was also the day that we said goodbye to Beate from our Charters team, but what better way to celebrate than by having everyone land up in the pool together after a wonderful day of wineland adventures!

Nomad Adventure Tours is growing from strength to strength and after this day spent together, it is plain to see that the driving force behind our successes is the finely oiled machine which is our incredible Nomad family, nurtured and guided by Alex and Henk. We have so much more to show and share with you as we complete our planning for our 2014 tours, we’re already super excited about the proposed developments and can’t wait to tell you all about them… but we’ll keep that for Indaba until we have all the details smoothed over.
