On the 21st November 2012, Nomad Africa Adventure Tours was honoured to be invited to attend the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Annual Business Awards Function. Nomad was nominated for the Helderberg (Somerset West, Strand and Gordon’s Bay) Tourism Award and we had made it through to the finals.

The nominees for the Tourism Award had to show that they had excelled in the following areas:

The company had stimulated interest and demonstrably helped to “Put the Helderberg on the Map”
Tourist activity had increased to the benefit of more than one sector of the industry.
The increase in tourist activity was measurable
The benefits of this increase enhanced the area as a whole
The overall impact on tourism is of a long term nature

Nomad completed our application and last night it was announced that we had won the award!

We would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for recognising local businesses and their impact on the community. Nomad is so proud to be able to call this area our home, being locally based and able to improve the lives of others through our business practices is extremely rewarding in itself.
