2 kilograms of chicken breast

3 tins of mushrooms (or equivalent of fresh mushrooms)

2 litres of fresh cream

2 tablespoons of thyme

2 tablespoons of chicken spice

3 cloves of garlic

2 kilograms of penne pasta

Salt and Pepper to flavour

2 onions sliced

Oil to fry

2 tablespoons cornflour / maizena


Invite about 15 friends to join you for dinner and pour yourself an ice cold crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

Heat the oil in a pot, add onions and garlic, cook until onions are translucent.

Add all of the spices and mushrooms, cook for 10 minutes.

Add strips of chicken breast and fry until cooked.

Add fresh cream, when it starts to boil, add the mixture of cornflour and water to thicken the sauce.

Add salt and pepper and serve on a bed of cooked penne

Total Preparation Time: 30 minutes
