Nomad's exciting new Okavango Delta Experience

With your incredible loyalty and continued travels with Nomad, you have enabled us to bring you an adventure touring option in the Okavango Delta that will be completely unique and unlike anything you have ever experienced with us before.

We have entered into a partnership for a 100 000 hectare concession and three camps in the Northern reaches of the Okavango Delta. Unlike Maun and the areas that we currently use to do our Delta excursions, the level of privacy will be unsurpassed as our guests will not encounter any other groups or operators in the concession area. On our accommodated Delta experience, we will be entering a wilderness area that is rich in game and birdlife, where lions are heard at night, where buffalo roam in their hundreds and where endless waterways are there for you to explore without the interruption from other travellers.

You will have the option to do game drives and walks, mokoro trips and island sundowners and sunset boat cruises. We invite you to watch this short video to see the area where we are in the process of building our new Okavango Delta camps.

For the Camping Delta experience, where other operators offer bush camping with no facilities, at Nomad’s new Delta camp, dome tents are pre-erected, there are ablution facilities, hot showers, a bar and lounge area and many more surprises!  This camp is a nature experience where you will see the local villagers living alongside the wild Okavango Delta.

For the Accommodated Delta experience we offer accommodation in large Meru style Safari tents with comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms, overlooking the Delta waterways. Our camp will be exclusive to our guests and the natural privacy will be unsurpassed at the prices we offer.

Okavango and Chobe Trail (both directions, camping and accommodated), Vic Falls to Cape Town (camping and accommodated) and Cape Town to Vic Falls Camping will include the Caprivi Strip as well as a game drive in Chobe National Park (when obtaining visas for Namibia and Botswana keep this in mind when applying for your single or multiple entry visa – multiple entry visas are the same price as single entry visas). The Cape Town to Vic Falls Accommodated tour will access the new camp via a 30 minute flight over the Delta, from and to Maun.

We are so excited to have the opportunity of offering you this outstanding adventure and we look forward to welcoming you on tour with us!
