Nomad Adventure Tours has had the privilege of enjoying an exponential growth curve over the past three years. Thanks to our loyal and supportive agents and travellers, we have been able to roll profits straight back into the company which has a direct impact on our travellers and our local communities.
Our stylish new interactive e-commerce website ensures easy online access to tour availability, an agent portal and online bookings. The dynamic “Tour Finder” enables you to quickly nail down the exact tour that suits your travel time, budget and bucketlist. Travellers can now make direct online bookings, agents will also have the opportunity to plug into the backend system to make direct bookings and for those who don’t load the Nomad tours to their website, they will be provided with a plug and play iFrame solution.
Towards the end of 2013, we acquired a new home in Midrand, Johannesburg for both pre and post tour accommodation, as well as for anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay away from the inner city, but with close access to the Gautrain station. Belvedere Estate is a boutique hotel which also has the capacity to act as a home for Nomad’s guides and an inspection and turnaround point for the trucks.
We have also started the process of replacing our fleet of trucks to powerful and reliable MAN trucks. Five trucks have been in the test phase in 2014 and the results have been exceptional. This year, we will purchase a further nine trucks and construct new bodies for them in our state of the art, SABS approved truck building facility in Somerset West. Nomad’s Green Seats programme and Nomad African Trust has planted an additional two hectares of Spekboom and benefactors have raised R207,183 which has been paid out to local beneficiaries.
